2012 AHIA Board of Directors Election Results

The Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors is pleased to announce election results for the organization's 2012 executive officer track and board of directors:

Heidi will become Secretary/Treasurer of AHIA effective January 2012.  In subsequent years, she will assume the position of Vice Chair, Chair and Past Chair, respectively.

The three-year terms of the newly elected board members will begin on January 1, 2012.

“On behalf of the Board of Directors, and AHIA’s membership, I want to say thank you to all of the candidates and welcome our new board members. We thank them all, in advance, for their dedication and service to AHIA and anticipate many more years of continued involvement,” said AHIA Immediate Past Chair and Nominating Committee Chair, Debbie Radke. “This year we saw a number of candidates run for open board seats, which is very encouraging. It’s obvious that our membership is continuing to become more involved with the organization, both at the board level and as volunteers and active members,” she continued.

At the close calendar year 2011, the terms of service for Deborah Radke, Immediate Past Chair, and Steve Gasparich, recently deceased Board member, conclude. Debbie plans to stay active in AHIA as a member of the MAC Committee.  Thank you to Debbie and Steve for their outstanding service and many contributions to AHIA.

The newly elected and re-elected board members join current board members Mike Fabrizius, San Diego, CA , current board chair; Joyce Lang, Ilwaco, WA, current chair-elect; Robert Michalski, Dallas, TX, current Secretary/Treasurer; Linda McKee, Norfolk, VA, Director; Debra Muscio, Fresno, CA, Director and Kelly Nueske, Los Angeles, CA, Director  in forming the 2012 Board of Directors.
